This safari and beach itinerary is a tremendous introduction to Kenya’s natural wonders starts in the spectacular uplands of northern Kenya. After staying in the wild and rugged Samburu, you will then head to the awe-inspiring Aberdare National Park and Mount Kenya home to both white and black rhino.
Next you will fly to the Masai Mara – Kenya’s world-famous safari landscape – for an unforgettable bush experience. Then it’s time for relaxation in the sun and swimming in the Indian Ocean at glorious Kinondo Kwetu in Kenya’s South Coast. Back in Nairobi we stay in elegant Giraffe Manor, where the resident giraffe drop in to be fed by the guests.

Stay At: Sasaab
Getting There: We’ll arrange transport from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Wilson Airport for your 1h 20min flight to Samburu. You’ll be met on arrival and taken to Sasaab in time for a late lunch.
A safari in Samburu land is very different to that found in any other part of Kenya. The game viewing is also unique as you search for the Samburu Special Five – Grevy’s zebra, Reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Gerenuk and Beisa oryx. You’ll find out about Samburu people and their traditions on our fascinating cultural trips. Sasaab also offers guests a fantastic opportunity to take a camel ride through the wilderness or experience fly camping, exploring the wilderness and sleeping under the stars. Or just relax and take full advantage of the luxurious spa.
Stay At: Solio Lodge
Getting There: After breakfast go to Sasaab’s airstrip to take a short 20min private charter flight to Solio Lodge.
There is plenty to do at Solio Lodge including trout fishing in the Aberdare National Park and at Mount Kenya. You can also take a helicopter flight or go horse riding and discover the terrain. The Game Reserve is home to large numbers of black and white rhinoceros, giving a fantastic opportunity to see these incredible animals.
Stay At: Sala’s Camp
Getting There: After breakfast, you’ll be driven to the nearby Nanyuki Airstrip where you will take a scheduled flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Then journey by 4×4 to Sala’s Camp with a game drive en-route.
You’ll explore the famous Masai Mara National Reserve on our spectacular morning or evening game drives, allowing you to see the animals when they are most active. You can also head out into the remote corners of the Masai Mara to find the wildlife and enjoy a bush lunch en-route. Back at the Camp, you can take part in activities, take local walks along the river or relax and enjoy the view from the hammock outside your tent before sun-downers.
Stay At: Kinondo Kwetu, Diani Beach
Getting There: From Sala’s Camp, you will be transferred to Keekorok Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Ukunda, Diani via Wilson Airport with a packed lunch from the camp. On arrival, you’ll be met by a Kinondo Kwetu driver, who will take you on a 10min drive to this amazing hotel.
This is a wonderful opportunity just to relax in the sun and swim in the Indian Ocean. At the same time, Kinondo Kwetu offers an impressive array of activities, with all kinds of watersports including kite surfing, deep-sea fishing and scuba diving, as well as land-based activities like game drives, horse-riding and yoga. There are also massage and beauty treatments on offer, as well as a sauna, two swimming pools, tennis and an exercise area.
Stay At: Giraffe Manor
Getting There: Enjoy breakfast then head out to the nearby airstrip and fly back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. There, you will be met and driven to Giraffe Manor.
This classic ivy-clad manor house is an exceptional property on the Kenyan landscape. What makes it truly remarkable is its population of Rothschild’s giraffe that frequent the hotel to meet, greet and be fed by guests*. These giraffes are wild, making this a unique experience, unlike any other in the world. There is also a breeding and conservation programme at the Giraffe Centre located within the Manor’s grounds, which we invite you to visit. You can take some great local excursions from Giraffe Manor, including a trip to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust where you can meet orphaned elephant and rhinoceros and the Karen Blixen Museum, dedicated to the great Danish explorer. We also offer the chance to purchase gifts from fantastic Kenyan artists and craftsmen.

After breakfast we will take you to Jomo Kenyatta’s International Airport for your return flight home.
